I woke up this morning and recalled that I had a crazy dream about work: I was at some kind of dentist appointment. Two of my managers said that their friend was really good at what he did. So I sit in the chair, but I’m getting the sense that it isn’t a dentist appointment. The guy numbs my legs with a syringe! He pokes them and I can’t feel them. Of course, I start to freak out. The two managers and the guy said, “Oh we were worried this would happen,” in regards to me freaking out and not being able to handle the procedure. Terrifying!

Gah! Thank goodness I’m working from home today.

I know there is some serious misconnections with American culture because they’re not from the U.S., but if you’re running a company in the United States that is not okay to say! Utterly oblivious, culturally insensitive, and scary eeeek (who admires the dude?)

Wait, reading books on my own time?

One of my goals of being a real person (yes, I graduated from college!), is to read at least one book a month. I managed to read “The Importance of Being Ernest” by Oscar Wilde in 1 day, because it was so darn good. The humor is timeless and I surprised myself as I laughed in the cafe over a book. I am ready to pick up the next book! Hello Boston to San Francisco plane ride.

How I feel about the research paper I've yet to start. (But it's the last one of college kiddies)

You ask why Sarabande has no black dancers in the group and declare we choose color over skill. As the President of the group, I can tell you that skill, passion, and heart are the only things we look for. Those are the only things that matter in dance and matter to this group.

Also not that color matters at all, but the president is mexican, chinese, yaqui indian, and spanish. just sayin.

After I tore my room apart looking for a piece of paper with dance choreography notes, I realized I should probably tidy up my space. Although I still can’t find that piece of paper (!!!!), the room looks so much better. Focusing on my room made me think about this New York Times article, “What Vintage? Circa 2011,” by Elaine Louie and published on Jan.26, 2012. If my room/future house looked like this, I’d never lose anything, plus I would have a pretty sweet looking place. Wait, it’s snowing. Just when I thought Boston was going to get a snow-free winter, it snows on Feb 29, one day before March. After all it hasn’t snowed since I’ve been in Boston this winter except for that one Saturday in January when it was blizzarding and I bought heavy duty snow boots that look like thermal pillows because I expected more snow in the coming weeks. Nope, I was so wrong, well, until now.

On another note, I saved the roses from Thomas’s bouquet and dried them upside down. Trying to be crafty. Happy winter everybody!

Hold up, Kickass Cupcakes in Davis Square has free cupcake happy hour on every last Monday of the month! How have I been at Tufts for 3 1/2 years and not known this? Thankfully today as I was strolling from the CVS to the joey shuttle, I bumped into Katie Kent who said the reason why she’s off campus is for the free cupcakes. Me: Whaaaaat, FREE CUPCAKES?? Definitely had to share this moment.

Wait, Zara dresses. Yes! Zara was actually my first job when I was 18. I was ecstatic to not only receive my first pay checks, but to be working during THE sale. Well, there are 2 sales to watch out for and they’re in January and June. Even though, we already passed the winter one, it’s still so much fun to look at the pretty dresses!

TRF is for a younger clientele (it’s also more affordable), and Zara Woman is the higher end of Zara. Also, I gave names to the dresses to give them character because the ones on line were boring—for example, “dress with the bow at the back” Really? haha

Wait, Pride and Prejudice (the Keira Knightley 2005 version) is the best soundtrack to study to. Just play and read or scribble away, which is what I’ll be doing right now. This clip is “Stars and Butterflies” played by the English Chamber Orchestra. Ah, so soothing.
